What I have been up to lately.

I have been pretty busy lately. I just got all my Easter cards and out in the mail. I am participating in an embellishments swap so I got those out in the mail today. Lets see what else, oh I am also participating in a Secret Bunny swap, and I put all the goodies in the mail today also. And last but not least I am doing a craft fair this weekend so I have been working on stuff for that. I created a scrapbook kit, and two card kits. I also did a set of thank you notes for my good friend Alexis' house warming gift, just something to add to what we got her. Lets see.. my mother-in-laws birthday is they same day as mine (April 8th) so I made her a card kit and scrapbook kit out of SU candy lane dsp. I also added some stamps, and black ink pad and I am going to buy her a paper cutter too. So as you can see I have been keeping myself pretty busy. The pictures and more details are below, hope you like.

Oh also I just wanted to say thanks to all who have left me such wonderful comments, I am going to try my best to get to all of your blogs and leave some love too. If I don't get to you before my craft fair, hang in there, I will definitely be there after Saturday. :)

Delicate Dots Scrapbook Kit Contents:

-4 6x6" sheets of coordinating cardstock. 1 each of Certainly celery, basic grey, bashful blue, and so saffron.
- 12 pre-stamped images from the polka dot punches set.

-12 pre-stamped images from the Love you much stamp set.

Candy Lane Card Kit Contents:

-3 each of pink pirouette, close to cocoa, ridding hood red, vanilla 3x3" prefolded cards.
-12 1 1/2"x3" of candy Lane Designer Series Paper.
-12 Scalloped punches, 3 each of pink pirouette, close to cocoa, ridding hood red, vanilla.
-12 1 3/8" round punches, stamped with sentiments.

More Easter Cards

I was on a role and ended up making two more cards last night, and I also made envelopes to match. I tried out the accordion flower; I think it turned out nice. Also I am a huge Stampin Up fan, love their products, but I got some of their flower designer brads and I wasn't that impressed, I thought they were a little too heavy. Oh well still think they are cute touch to the card below.

First Easter card

Made my first Easter card yesterday. I guess I better get back to it though if I want to get them out on time. I just got part of my SU order in yesterday and used some of it already (I can't wait to get the rest of it). It is so addicting.

Spring Cards

Of course as usual I was browsing the internet looking for inspiration and new ideas, when I ran upon How To Make A Spring Card #2 With Dawn video. (I like videos if you can't tell) So I went to my friends house last night and ended up making four of them. They turned out so cute. I love the style of the card , the whole pop up thing gives it a different look.

First two cards:

Woodgraining

I love Gina K, she gives such great detailed instructions and makes it look so easy. I watched some of here videos on stamp tv yesterday and decided that I wanted to try it out. I posted the links below. I had so much fun doing it I even decided to do a envelope that matched. I used real red, and yoyo yellow ink for the background. For the stamped images I inked in real red and then used a yoyo yellow marker and used the thumping technique which gave it a darker rich color. I used some cute green ribbon I found at Michaels, and some red ribbon over top. I am very pleased with the end results. Now I need to go finish up some projects for that darn craft fair I signed up for. I hope it goes well.

First Post............

I am new to the whole blogging thing, but I have been lurking around everyone's and decided that I should make an effort and try it out for myself. So here it goes. I'll start with telling you a little about myself. I am 25yrs old and happily married. I did five years in the Marines and decided that I didn't want to do that for the rest of my life. I now work on base, providing a top secret Internet for the Marines. I love my job and couldn't ask for anything more (except maybe not to have to work at all, but who doesn't dream of that every now and again). My hubby is a Marine and loves it (today). :) Lets see... we are doing pretty well for ourselves, we have two trucks, a brand new 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 (its so fun to drive). I'll post a pic here soon. We have two boats, a small john boat and a 21ft open fisherman. It's starting to get warm so I have a feeling we will start taking the boat out again, can't wait. Lets see what else can I tell you........I have always had a creative side to me so I really got into scrap booking when my hubby was last deployed. I had some pictures taken for him and decided to do a scrapbook with them. He absolutely loved it. So that's where it all started. Then I met my friend Jessica and she got me hooked with stamps and SU. Oh and I can't forget that everytime I go to Florida, my aunt sends me back with plenty of supplies to add to my collection. (Can't beat that)
